Howard P. Taylor (Gordo) age 72, of Medway, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 7, 2019.

Howie was born June 19, 1947 in West Virginia.  He is a Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service with two bronze stars, Vietnam Campaign. Also earning the Presidential Unit Citation and the Navy Unit Commendation.

Howie was one of the founders of the Highway Hikers MC. Also, life member of the CVMA chapter 12-4, Medway VFW 9684, Amvets 148, and American Legion 286. He was an avid lover of motorcycles and cars of all kinds. Many weekends were spent at KilKare, where he enjoyed drag racing several different racecars over the years.

Howie is survived by his loving wife Cathy (Bones), son; Mike (Kathie) Taylor of Medway, two grandchildren; Brittany (Robert) Dubie and Patrick Taylor both of Springfield, three great-grandchildren; Landon Dubie, Lance Dubie, and Lettie Dubie, brother; Wayne (Peach) Taylor, sister; Patricia (JimBob) Belcher of Medway. As well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Louise Taylor and son Scott Taylor.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 1:00PM (please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to the committal time) at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428. A celebration of Howie’s life will follow the burial at the Medway VFW Post 9684, 1587 N.
