Providing Compassionate Service since 1863 - Before, During & After.

Maui, a deeply loved Chow-Chow dog, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2019 as a result of an accident while chasing a squirrel.  He was 9 years old.

He is survived by his owner, Anthony (Tony) Dobbels, in South Charleston.  Sadly, Tony’s wife, Tammy, preceded Maui in death in June of 2018.

Maui sure enjoyed riding in the John Deere Gator at home and loved to travel with Tony in the front seat of the white pickup truck.  He also loved sliced cheese and scrambled eggs in the morning.

The park at South Charleston Trailhead was Maui’s favorite hang-out.

Maui will be laid to rest at the Ferncliff Pet Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio within view of the final resting place of Tammy in the Magnolia Garden.
