Robert H. “Bob” Pinkerton

PINKERTON, Robert H. “Bob” age 57 of Springfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 20, 2019. Born October 11, 1961 in Springfield, Ohio. Bob was the son of James and Helen (nee Worobey) Pinkerton and was a loving son, brother, and friend. Bob was a member at the First United Church of Christ. He enjoyed baseball and was an avid fan of his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Indians but most of all he was very social and was known for having a large and giving heart and expected nothing in return. Although he was described as soft-spoken he sure enjoyed striking up conversations with everyone he met and exchanging stories.  He never knew a stranger. He will be missed by everyone who lives he touched. He lived his life on his own terms each day and lived it to the fullest. He is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Barbara Pinkerton, step-sister April Hurley, Joe Chapman, and Grandma Pinkerton. Bob leaves behind step-brothers Jim (Tammy) Chapman of Springfield, Ohio and Jonathan Pinkerton of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Matt Chapman and many dear friends. He has left a large and memorable imprint on Springfield and Clark County and his legacy will live on. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements in care of Ferncliff Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.ferncliffceemtery.org.
