Seymour “Sy” Ostransky

On Tuesday, December 10th, 2018, Seymour “Sy” Ostransky passed away at the age of 91.  He was born in New York City, NY to Milton and Sophie Ostransky.  He was married to Kiyoko for over 50 years.  Sy lived in Japan as a civil servant and then moved to Dayton, OH.

He is preceded in death by his wife Kiyoko and his parents, Milton and Sophie as well as his son Richard.  Also by two sisters and one brother.  He is survived by his son, David (Julie) and his daughter Lorraine (Ernest) Gose.  7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

In line with his wishes, there will be no public service.  The family will have a private gathering celebrating his life.

    My most sincere condolences. May you find a measure of comfort in the hope held out to all of the opportunity to see our lost loved ones again (Acts 24:15). My thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr. Seymour.

    Lorraine and Ernie…again I am so sorry for your loss. Sy was such a gracious and classy man. It is so sad that he went through so much … God bless him and your family.
