The Governing Body of Ferncliff Cemetery

Ferncliff Cemetery is governed by The Springfield Cemetery Association, a non-profit, volunteer organization established in 1863.

The Springfield Cemetery Association membership is comprised of 23-27 Association Members and nine Trustees who support the purpose, goals, and visions of The Springfield Cemetery Association.  The Association Members and Trustees are duly elected by the combined membership. 

The nine Trustees provide financial oversight and meet monthly. Ferncliff’s Executive Director, Shelley Baker, reports to the Board of Trustees and serves as an Assistant Secretary for the board. Association Members meet annually to help shape the future of Ferncliff and further our mission: To serve the community with supportive, affordable, and inclusive end of life services in a beautiful, historic environment in perpetuity.
