Charles Lynn Spangler, 77 years old, of Enon passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 and went to his heavenly home. He was born February 11, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland to Clarence and Helen Spangler. He grew up in Springfield, Ohio alongside two brothers Larry and Butch and two sisters Linda and JoAnne. Brother-in-law to Kay, Susan, Sue, Mike, and Billy. He joined the United States Air Force after North High School. He then pursued a theology degree in ministry and first pastored at Milton-Carlisle Baptist Church followed by various other ministries throughout his life.

He retired from Navistar after 35 years. Charles was a loving husband of 56 years to Joyce Spangler (Mollett). They met at Schaefer Junior High School; Talk about a true love story. Charles was a very loving father who always greeted you with the biggest smile. He loved his wife and knew he wanted four children from the start and they did just that with Brian, David, Lisa, and Daniel. He was an amazing father-in-law to Janet, Puna, Tim, and Shannon.

Charles so enjoyed being a papal to 11 grandchildren, Mack, Jessica, Seth, Joe, Casey, Alexandria, Reagan, Braden, Wyatt, Brock, and Weston; 14 great grandchildren Cali, Mercedes, Lexus, Maci, Conner, Casey, Jayce, Able, Waden, Cami, Behr, Patten, Morgan and Braden; Uncle Chuck was an incredible Uncle to 11 nieces and nephews Kimberly, Jim, Tracey, Kim, Steve, Mindy, Shaun, Chad, Abby, Maribeth, and Zach. Special heartfelt thank you to all “Chuck’s” friends and God sent care team Jhama, Lea, & Nick. Chuck will be missed so much by everyone who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Friday, August 13, 2021 with a memorial service to follow at 5pm at Fellowship Christian Church, 2301 Valley Loop Road, Springfield, Ohio 45504. Rev.
