Robert M. Barr, age 85 of Xenia, Ohio passed away Wednesday December 8, 2021. Robert (Bob) was born September 26, 1936, in Greene County Ohio. He was the son of the late Jacob Walter Barr Sr. and Hettie Mae (Wolfe) Barr.

He was a member of the Ohio and Greene County Pork Producers where he held the office of president, Greene County 4-H where he was a 4-H advisor as well as Chairman of the 4-H Committee, Sale Committee and Swine Committee, Ohio Duroc Association. In his younger years he was a volunteer fireman for Beavercreek Station #3.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his four brothers and their spouses Jacob W, (Mary Louise) Barr, John A. (Jeanne) Barr, Lawrence E. (Evelyn) Barr), Forrest C. (Juanita) Barr Sr., granddaughter Starr Amber Barr, mother-in-law Lucille A Closey.

Bob is survived by his wife of 66 years Phyllis (Burke) Barr, 4 children and spouses Dennis (Diana) Barr, Natalie (Nick) Pitstick, Wesley (Tammy) Barr, Lynette (Jeff) Hollingsworth. 9 grandchildren Corey, Nicholas, Sherri, Angela, Benjamin, Brian, Jason, Stephanie, Joshua.

17 great grandchildren Kelsey, Logan, Diem, Rieley, Dalton, Lillian, Lucille, Amelia, Leah, Bradley, Sawyer, Nora, Annie, Claire, August, Abigail, Aimsley. Sisters-in-law Bonnie Closey, Roxanna Beason, brother-in-law Mike Closey, numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
